Kevin Kennison is an Independent Casting Director, Freelance Director, Master Acting Teacher and Coach, and Career Consultant. Kevin has an extensive background in performing, directing, producing and teaching. Based in New York and Los Angeles, and currently working in south Florida, he has cast for Broadway, National and International Tours, ABC/Disney, Reality Television, The Learning Channel, TRU-TV, Feature and Independent Films, Theatre and Film Festivals, numerous backer’s auditions of new plays and musicals, industrials, readings and new multi-media projects. Kevin has been a faculty member of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, The University of Oregon, Brooklyn College, SUNY Oswego, Hofstra University, and many New York professional acting studios including the Atlantic Theatre Company, CAP 21 Musical Theatre program, The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, and works with many High School and College Theatre programs across the country as a guest artist, program curriculum and workshop designer, master teacher, guest director and showcase producer. Classes include: all levels of acting from beginners to professional, non-actors including business and corporate clients , young people’s programming, high school and pre-college programs, advanced performance styles, scene study, directing, movement, musical theatre, theatre appreciation, history of theatre and acting, acting for the camera, audition preparation and skills, monologue intensives, and acting as a business. Former students include Tony Award winners and nominees, Emmy Award nominees, Theatre World Award winners, and Obie Award winners, among other honors.
