Unified Auditions

Based on feedback from participating producers and directors, the 2023 Unified Auditions have been scheduled for Monday February 20, 2023 at Florida Children’s Theatre at Broward College. Directions and information about parking is available here.

Currently all time slots are filled and we have closed the waiting list as we have 40 people on it and we’d prefer to see everyone if possible. However, due to overwhelming demand, we plan to add a second day of auditions in June. You can sign up for a early sign up opportunity — think of it as an audition presale.

We also encourage anyone auditioning to watch the adjacent video from Caryl Fantel, Michael Leeds, and local artistic directors on how to prepare for your audition.

If you have a time slot…

Please plan to show up 15 minutes before your time slot to ensure that the auditions move smoothly. You will check in at the front office of Florida Children’s Theatre, then walked back to the theatre by volunteers when it is closer to your audition. The volunteers will direct you on how to enter and exit the space.

You should prepare a one minute monologue and an optional 16 bars of a song. If you are singing, please check in with Caryl Fantel, our accompanist about your song, then do your monologue, and then your 16 bars of a song. If you are not singing, you do not have the opportunity to do another monologue as we want to see as many people as possible. The time for your monologue will start from your first word, not when you slate.

You do not need to bring your headshot and resume, as we should have it on file electronically and we distribute everything to producers through a dropbox link.
