PrEP’d is a new play by Ronnie Larsen developed through a grant from the CAN Community Health Foundation. It was informed by a series of interviews conducted with gay men in South Florida and Ronnie’s own personal experiences. PrEP’d tells the story of a gay man named Jerry whose sexual development is stifled by the trauma of living through – and surviving – the AIDS epidemic of the 1980s. Despite the advent of PrEP to prevent sexual transmission of HIV, Jerry continues to struggle negotiating sex and love in a modern and very complicated world.
