Arms Around America

February 20 @ 8:00 pm - February 21 @ 5:00 pm

Arms Around America is a community-driven theater project that delves into how Americans navigate fear, power, identity, loss, and love through their relationships with guns. Created by Dan Froot and presented as a live radio-theater broadcast, the performance features four actors voicing dozens of characters in a series of short plays inspired by real families whose lives have been profoundly shaped by guns—including stories from South Florida.

By opening a window into these families’ experiences, Arms Around America offers a nuanced exploration of the complex roles guns play in our society. Combining theatrical storytelling with community dialogue, the performance creates a space for audiences to reflect on diverse perspectives and foster conversations that move beyond polarization.

Recently premiering to sold-out audiences at UCLA’s Nimoy Theater, Arms Around America is both a gripping theatrical experience and a catalyst for meaningful dialogue, aimed at transforming the national conversation on gun violence.
