NORMAN J. FEDDER, Ph. D. is University Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Theatre, Kansas State University; and now teaches in the Interdisciplinary Arts Program (IAP) of Nova Southeastern University. A member of the Kansas Theatre Hall of Fame, he is the author of a book on Tennessee Williams, many articles on dramatic literature, and 25 produced plays––notably the book for The Buck Stops Here! which was performed to critical acclaim by AMAS Repertory Theatre in New York City. He is a member of the Association for Jewish Theatre which he was instrumental in founding. He is also a Registered Drama Therapist/Board Certified Trainer, active in the North American Drama Therapy Association. He was honored by NADTA by receiving its initial Raymond Jacobs Diversity Award and its Gertrude Schattner Award––the highest honor the association can bestow. He founded Kansas State University’s renowned Drama Therapy Program and has developed and directs a Drama Therapy concentration within the IAP.
Ms. Schneider was born in Miami, Florida and raised in Asbury Park, New Jersey, she has lived in Miami since the early 1960s. Ms. Schneider is an award winning playwright, author, and an internet visionary adept at strategic consulting, business plan and sales strategy development, brand development, web site traffic growth, and developing brand strategy and statistics systems. Ms. Schneider graduated Summa Cum Laude from Barry University with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in 2011 and a Master of Science Degree in 2014. Ms. Schneider is presently studying Art Management at St. Thomas University; she will begin doctoral studies in the fall.
Among Ms. Schneider’s accomplishments during her first year at Barry University: her essay “The Path to Silence: The Uses of Meditation,” tied for first place in the Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society Writing Contest and was published in What Oft Was Thought, a literary compilation that is published by the Alpha Alpha Xi Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, Inc. Additionally, a term paper Ms. Schneider wrote for a humanities course on the subject of mythology is presently being published in an academic journal. Ms. Schneider continued to earn academic honors and publications in various journals during her studies at Barry University. She was named Website Editor for The Buccaneer, Barry University’s Newspaper, where she also served as a staff writer. She is a member of the Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society, Phi Beta Delta Honor Society, Delta Epsilon Iota and Alpha Chi Honor Societies.
Ms. Schneider has published the first two volumes of a children’s series, The Little Mouse Solamae and an educational interactive website https://www.solamae.com. She has adapted the first volume as a musical stage play, My Name Is Solamae, which won the 2011 South Florida Writer’s Association’s Playwriting contest. Ms. Schneider has authored articles for trade publications, coordinated trade shows and seminars, negotiated with bookstores to conduct book signings and readings to promote sales, and conducted public speaking engagements. Her greatest joy remains the dynamic process of discovering the escapades of her clever companion, The Little Mouse Solamae.
