On Broadway it starred- Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick, Stockard Channing, Megan Mullally. A spoof on what it takes to make a show a hit. It’s opening night on Broadway, and all await the reviews, the playwright, his fledgling producer, his erratic leading lady, his wunderkind director, and infamous drama critic, and a wide-eyed coat check attendant. It’s raucous, ridiculous and tender, reminding audiences why there’s no business like show business. Thank God!

These are among the funniest lines to roll off a stage in years…IT’S ONLY A PLAY deserves only a rave.” —NY Times.

1776, In Concert @ Waterfront Playhouse
Jan 24 @ 8:00 pm – Feb 4 @ 8:00 pm

“1776” is the Tony Award winning musical which brings history to life as it dramatizes America’s contentious Founding Fathers and their determination to do the right thing for a fledgling nation. Engaging, witty and passionate, this Broadway musical takes audiences back to the long, hot Philadelphia summer of 1776 when John Adams of Massachusetts, Benjamin Franklin of Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson of Virginia bid members of the Second Continental Congress to proclaim independence from the tyranny of British monarchy and adopt the United States Declaration of Independence.

“…a most striking, most gripping musical…a beautiful mixture of pride, ambition, an almost priggish sense of justice and yet – the saving grace of the character – an ironic self-awareness.” – The New York Times

“a brilliant and remarkably moving work of theatrical art” – The New York Post

“It is warm with a life of its own; it is funny, it is moving” – New York Daily News
